Satellite TV Made Simple

Not that long ago, people who wanted satellite TV needed to have a rather big dish positioned somewhere on their rooftop or at the back of their lawn. Nowadays, you can receive Dish Network Satellite TV signals via a miniature version of a satellite dish. This more compact device bears a close resemblance to a tiny bowl. Satellite TV was an ostentatious service that only the well-off could afford to pay for. But now, almost anyone can obtain satellite TV since the prices for this service have been declining over the years. The average family can now afford to have satellite television. Therefore, it is not uncommon to see miniature satellite dishes or bowls in rural areas. The service span of satellite TV seems to outreach the service scope of many cable television services. This makes it common for you to see many compact satellite dishes in areas that are considered to be the outskirts of town.

It started with the Bottle Shock James Beard Wine Dinner tickets we had to give away. Many of you submitted your entries, which included submitting "what food & wines you would ...

The High-Flying Hopes of a Cosmodrome...

Suddenly a whisper passes through the room. A tall, older man is standing in the doorway. "Today's launch isn't really all that special," growls Leonid Gurushkin, the Proton program's technical director. Gurushkin has worked in Baikonur for more than 40 years, and he has monitored 300 flights into space. "We are the only ones who can launch rockets on an industrial scale."

Glorified meat market...

The NFL Combine always has been an upscale delicatessen. Gluttonous football men gather behind the glass counter and order: “I'll have 255 pounds of that rare college linebacker, cut thin.” But the meat off the hoof may be too tender, too fatty, too lean. Spoiled. Inedible.

Actually, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, where the Combine began last week and concludes today, is a huge P...
